Founded in 1885, the Swan River Rowing Club prioritises community as a core value of the club and actively engages with the City of Melville and the local community wherever possible to promote the sport of rowing and to build long-lasting relationships that benefit the local area.

The Henley Royal Regatta is one of the largest and most prestigious rowing regattas in the world outside of World Championships and Olympics, requiring entering crews to present rowing CVs and, if required, row pre-regatta qualifying time trials.  World class crews from all over the world compete.

The SRRC crews competed in the Danesfield Challenge Cup – for Club Women’s Quadruple Sculls and the Wyfold Challenge Cup for Open Four Oars.  The women’s crew is the first female crew from WA to qualify for the Regatta.
