Thunderbolts Netball Club Karratha Sponsorship – 2020 – 2023
Thomas Building has been pleased to continue our sponsorship of the Thunderbolts Netball Club from 2020 to 2023. Fielding 12 teams, the Thunderbolts are the largest club in the Karratha Netball Association Competition.
Sponsorship from Thomas Building has allowed the club to reimburse any coaches who complete their Foundations Coaching or Umpiring courses to ensure they are fully accredited.
In addition, the funds from the sponsorship provide members with a higher level of coaching staff. 2022 registered netballer was provided a training singlet by the club.

“Karratha Thunderbolts is very appreciative of the yearly sponsorship we receive from Thomas Building. Karratha Thunderbolts had another successful year this year with 12 teams in the competition, playing in 5 Grand Finals and winning 3 of them. They also had 10 girls represent the North West Region (Kununurra to Karratha) at State Cup in Perth. A huge effort from our club!
With Thomas Building’s sponsorship we provided every team with new playing bibs in both black and yellow to prevent clashes. Coach and umpire development was also supported again this year through Thomas Building’s Sponsorship.
This year one of our Junior Coach was named “Karratha Netball Association Junior Umpire of the Year” and also was selected through a Talent ID process to Umpire at State Cup. We had a number of girls badged as umpires this year and continue to provide the whole association with umpires each week, sometimes up to 25 games a week.
In 2023, we are very excited to be entering the inaugural Thunderbolts Men Side into the new Men’s league competition”

The Football Perth Carnival presents a unique opportunity for our players to showcase their skills and compete against top regional talents. It also opens doors to potential development pathways that are otherwise limited in the North. We firmly believe that sports have the power to unite communities and inspire individuals to reach their full potential.
Being associated with the NPFL fills us with immense pride, and we are excited about the prospects of this partnership. Together, we aim to bring joy, excitement, and a sense of unity to the North Pilbara community. We look forward to a successful collaboration that celebrates the spirit of sportsmanship and leaves a lasting impact on the North Pilbara Football League and its supporters.
We are delighted to share some words from Ben who is an organiser as well as one of the players from the NPFL
The North Pilbara Football League (NPFL) is extremely grateful for the support of Thomas Building. For the first time in over 30 years the NPFL has nominated to take a representative team down to Perth for the Nutrien Ag Country Championship to show case the talent of our local footballers. This has all been made possible through the support from Thomas Building helping subsidise the cost for the team and helping fund the week. Simply without their support this experience for the players and coaches simply would not occur! We appreciate the support and look forward to working with Thomas Building in the future to further strengthen our relationship
