Cape2Cape Trek for Young Heroes 2024
In 2021, Thomas Building sponsored Alan Thomas as he completed the 135km trek over 5 days from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.
The event raised vital funds for zero2hero’s youth mental health programs, helping to make a significant difference in the lives of young people across Western Australia. Following the trek, Alan shared the physical and emotional challenges he faced, and more importantly, the insight he gained into the struggles of today’s youth.
READ More: Cape2Cape Trek for Young Heroes 2024Building on Alan’s efforts, the Thomas Building team returned for the 2024 trek, with four new members taking on the challenge. Together, they raised over $117,000, which will go towards funding the training of school-aged children and teenagers with the skills to support their friends facing stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts.

Cambodia Building programs – Raw Impact Initiatives
Thomas Building provided sponsorship for two students to travel to Cambodia as part of team trips organised by Raw Impact.
The teams, over 10 days, successfully contributed to the construction of basic housing for locals in Cambodian villages, as well as assisting with the creation of sustainable agricultural initiatives.
READ More: Cambodia Building programs – Raw Impact InitiativesThe two students, Nikki Coleman and Ami Dique, appreciated the funding provided for the trip by Thomas Building, and expressed the whole experience as life changing for them as they got an understanding of the poverty and living conditions in which the Cambodian people struggle to survive.
